Let’s learn!
ANALYSIS intends to contribute to developing a competent, highly trained media ecosystem that uses advanced, high-impact digital technologies to verify disinformation.
Whats the problem?
The spread of misinformation is a global threat that undermines trust in democracy, its pillar institutions, fuels polarisation, and can impair our collective decision-making. The dissemination of false narratives and manipulated images, creates a breeding ground for confusion, fear, and divisive conflicts. With the growing popularity of generative AI in misinformation, it is becoming even harder to discern truth from fiction. The ANALYSIS project seeks to address these issues.
Mission Statement
The ANALYSIS mission is to empower journalists and the public with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to identify, analyse, and combat misinformation, and to better understand when, how, and why misinformation affects us. Through our comprehensive training programs, we aim to: uphold the integrity of journalism and advance societal resilience against misinformation, strengthening the European fact-checking infrastructure by ensuring the dissemination of accurate and reliable information to the public. Our project is dedicated to the democratisation of fact-checking, fostering a media environment that resists the spread of falsehoods and promotes informed, critical thinking among audiences in Europe.
Our Goal
Our goal is to revolutionise media training by making it more accessible, engaging, and adaptable for today’s and tomorrow’s media professionals. The ANALYSIS project introduces a dynamic 6-week intensive program on digital tools for verification, advanced search techniques, and social media analysis. The project will also create a public online course on news verification, and a series of exciting podcasts and events. Through the collaboration of leading European universities and media partners, the ANALYSIS project will combine academic rigour with practical media experience, ensuring our program and course content is theoretically sound and applicable in real-world journalism. Join us as we democratise fact-checking—so stay tuned!
This is a team effort!
At ANALYSIS, we believe in the power of collaboration and teamwork.
