Professor Constantinos Mourlas, representing the Department of Communication and Media Studies of the University of Athens, presented the ANALYSIS project at the IQ Media conference in Nice, France, on November 7. This conference, part of the IQ Media Hub, is a trans-European project supported by the European Union and involves collaboration among media organizations in Greece, France, Portugal, and Cyprus.
Professor Mourlas introduced the ANALYSIS project’s ongoing efforts to combat disinformation, emphasizing its mission to equip journalists and the public with essential skills, knowledge, and tools to identify and counter misinformation. Professor Mourlas highlighted that through its specialized training program, the project empowers journalists and media professionals to improve their fact-checking abilities using AI-assisted tools that support the verification of news, images, events, and locations, contributing to more reliable and innovative journalism across Europe.
